THE BRIEF

The starting point.

Côte commissioned a root-and-branch review of reward and benefits. Historic policies and differences between roles had created an inconsistent landscape, with no holistic framework and potential unintended consequences from change.

HOW WE WORKED

Research grounded in context.

We examined existing reward practices, internal information and market comparisons. The review considered remuneration principles, benefits and the distribution of tronc, alongside what a future approach needed to achieve for colleagues and the business.

WHAT WE DELIVERED

Making the evidence useful.

Alternative frameworks were assessed against design principles and strategic objectives. Recommendations covered the overall reward philosophy, schemes, policies, procedures and benefits provision.

THE DIFFERENCE

A clearer way forward.

The work produced a reward-and-benefits strategy and plan for the Chief People Officer and board. The client describes this as a foundation for attracting, motivating and retaining colleagues in support of its longer-term goals.
